6/20 to 7/25 Saturday 10:00am to 12:30pm

Learn about glaze materials and subtle variation in cone 6 clear glazes in a 6-week workshop. You will get an immersive experience with slide lectures alongside physical demonstrations including how to measure, mix, and apply slip and glaze to clay tiles. You will leave with basic glaze chemistry know-how plus a custom-made clear glaze formula. No experience necessary, Excel spreadsheet knowledge is a plus.
*Students must supply their own N95 mask, gloves, and notebook. Bringing your own laptop is preferred but not required. Additional materials fee required.
Open Studio
Open studio hours are designed to give students more time to practice. Please ask when you have questions. The owner of Clay Work Studio, artist Yiu Keung Lee, is often in the studio and will answer any questions you have. If he is not, you are welcome to text me questions. We use the google calendar to sign up for studio hours outside of class. You will have access to the Glaze Work calendar to reserve space for making test tiles, making glazes, and for glazing.
