A six-week wheel throwing course for all skill levels. This course will address all aspects of wheel throwing including making a variety of forms, trimming, altering, assembling, and decorating surfaces.
An eight-week studio course that will introduce and develop skills to sculpt a human figure. Working from a live model, students will learn to translate what they see into accurate representation in the life-size clay form.
A one-week program for children ages 8-18. Campers will work on a variety of projects throughout the week that they can take home 2-4 weeks after the session.
A six-week hand building course for all skill levels. Students in hand-building classes will learn various hand building techniques such as slab building, pinching, coiling, and other tool assisted building methods.
A new six-week course to learn the basics of 3D modeling software, how to prepare a 3D model for printing, and how to use the studio clay 3d printer. We will also cover why to choose 3D printing as opposed to other clay techniques.
A monthly-tuition based class for youth ages 8-17 of all skill levels. The youth class introduces basic building techniques with playful projects, such as whistles (pinching), functional cups and plates (soft and hard slab building) and larger scale vases (coil building), etc.
A six-week course for intermediate students who wish to embellish their forms. Open to wheel throwers, hand builders and sculptors. Composition, style and design basics will be discussed throughout.
Individuals are welcome to sign up for a "One-Time" class for special occasions or just fun time out. We offer 2-hour sessions for wheel throwing or hand building.
