This studio course will introduce and develop skills to sculpt a human figure. Working from a live model, students will learn to translate what they see into accurate representation in the life-size clay form. Unlike drawing and painting, sculpting from a live model requires multiple points of reference, making workshops physically dynamic activity. Students will learn to assemble their own armature in the first session.

Each semester is an eight weeks, three hours class specifically for the Figurative Sculpture class.

9/9 to 10/14 Monday 6:00 to 9:00pm

Tuition: $380, including initial amount of clay (approximately 25 lbs)

Tuition include material (25lbs of clay), communal tools, model’s fees and firings.

Additional material: $20/ 25 lbs if needed.

All classes include open studio hours.
