This class is geared toward students that have taken multiple classes here at the studio or show sufficient skills to build simple objects. The class will explore different approaches in object making in clay and mixed media/clay sculptures or anything you might want to explore. Students will have a core project of your choice to work with based on a statement that students will be developing concurrently throughout the course. This class covers materials, techniques, and concepts in both utilitarian and sculptural ceramics. Experience throwing on a potter’s wheel is not required, as wheel throwing is only one part of ceramics; however, basic throwing skills would be helpful.

  materials are necessary for your projects)
